You will begin to store a lot of information in your Google Account.  It is important that you enable 2-Step to prevent even people who know your password with 2nd step by getting a text code to your phone.  This makes it impossible for even people who guessed your password correctly because they still need your phone.

Note: If you have an account through your work, school, or other group, your organization might not allow 2-Step Verification. Check with your administrator to be sure.  Most all SaskTech provisioned account will have this enabled by default.

  1. Go to the 2-Step Verification page. You might have to sign in to your Google Account.
  2. Select Get started.
  3. Follow the step-by-step setup process.

Once you're finished, you'll be taken to the 2-Step Verification settings page. Review your settings and add multiple verification methods.

The next time you sign in, you'll receive a text message with a verification code. You also have the option of using a Security Key for 2-Step Verification.

Note: To ensure that you can access your account in the future, add an email recovery option as well.
